What is Holistic Therapy?

Holistic therapy is an approach to health and wellness that considers the whole person. It recognizes that body, mind and spirit are connected and influence each other. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to healing and personal growth. I believe in the power of a personal approach, where we look together at your specific situation, needs and goals.


To ensure that healing can take place at different levels, we integrate various holistic techniques into the process. Consider, for example, trauma processing through EMDR, meditative techniques, the cognitive approach to beliefs about, for example, your self-image and body-oriented exercises. Through a combination of techniques and approaches we can provide a holistic approach that suits you best.


Sometimes we can know things in our heads, but not really feel them. This is something we are taking steps towards with holistic therapy. We therefore look beyond symptoms. During the sessions we work together to gain insight into underlying patterns that prevent you from living from your authentic strength and happiness. By tackling the root of the problem, we strive for sustainable results and better health in the long term.

Trauma

At Holistic Therapy Rotterdam I take a holistic view of trauma. We recognize that trauma not only has a mental or emotional impact, but also consists of a physical and spiritual dimension. This approach focuses on restoring balance and promoting healing at all these levels. This means that trauma is not only stuck in the mind, but also in the body and soul. That is why we focus on addressing the underlying causes and promoting healing on all these dimensions.

Negative self image

A (predominantly) negative self-image can have various causes. Negative comparisons with others, perfectionism and a demanding inner critic can contribute to a negative self-image. This negative self-image can have a profound impact on well-being and daily life. A holistic approach focuses on promoting self-acceptance, increasing self-confidence and restoring healthy levels of self-esteem. Eating Disorder

An eating disorder is a complex condition that is often accompanied by negative thoughts and feelings about the body and problematic eating habits. I believe that complete recovery from an eating disorder is possible and am happy to support you in your path to recovery and a happy life. An eating disorder is actually not really about food itself. It is important to understand that an eating disorder is often a complex coping mechanism that is used to avoid dwelling on underlying pain and emotions. Hello, my name is Lianna

I am convinced that we can only heal ourselves. However, this does not mean that we have to do this alone. As a holistic therapist, I see myself as a mirror and catalyst. I would like to help you find the imbalance that prevents you from (yet) feeling and living fully from your happiness. This imbalance often arises from underlying, limiting beliefs.


My goal is to find these together and bring them into balance with who you actually are. Pain in our lives is inevitable, suffering is not.

Schuldgevoel is een van de meest indringende emoties die we kunnen ervaren. Het kan ons aansporen om verantwoordelijkheid te nemen, maar ook een innerlijke last worden die ons vastzet in patronen van zelfverwijt en perfectionisme. Veel mensen die in therapie komen, worstelen met diepgeworteld schuldgevoel zonder precies te begrijpen waar het vandaan komt of waarom het zo hardnekkig aanwezig is.
