Relationship problems

Relationship problems

Relationship problems can take a deep emotional toll and hinder your ability to form deep connections. Our holistic approach focuses on understanding and transforming these patterns so you can build healthy and loving relationships.

Obstructive patterns in relationships

Obstructive patterns are repetitive behaviors and responses that repeat across intimate relationships. They can arise from unprocessed emotions, previous experiences or unconscious beliefs about relationships and your self-worth. These patterns can range from fear of abandonment to inability to open yourself to love and intimacy.

Limiting patterns can have a devastating impact on your relationships and your well-being. They can lead to conflict, communication problems and a lack of emotional connection with your partner. These patterns can also prevent you from fully experiencing love and intimacy, which can result in a feeling of loneliness and emotional distance.

Breaking through these limiting patterns often requires insight, awareness and the willingness to work on personal growth. Holistic therapy can help you understand and transform these patterns so you can build healthy and loving relationships.

Examples of obstructive relationship patterns

The Commitment-Afraid: This person has difficulty making deep emotional connections. Whenever the relationship threatens to become too intimate, this person withdraws and avoids emotional involvement. The Abandonment Afraid: The opposite of the Commitment Afraid, this person is constantly worried that the partner will leave. This can lead to an overwhelming need for validation and reassurance, which can leave the partner feeling suffocated. The Unfaithful: This person has difficulty committing to a monogamous relationship and may repeatedly place themselves in situations where temptation beckons, leading to repeated infidelity. The Detached: This person finds it difficult to express emotions openly and may withdraw when conflict arises. This may leave the partner feeling ignored and a lack of emotional connection. The Rescuer: This person has a tendency to sacrifice themselves to help and save others. This can lead to an unhealthy dynamic in which the partner feels helpless and the rescuer feels over-responsible. The Controller: This person wants to be in control and has difficulty letting go of the partner. This can lead to a lack of trust and space for the other person to be themselves. The Withdrawal: When conflicts arise, this person withdraws emotionally and avoids tackling the problems. This can lead to unresolved conflicts and a lack of emotional connection. The Critical Partner: This person has a tendency to constantly criticize the other person, which can make the partner feel rejected and unloved. The Pleaser: This person goes out of his or her way to please their partner and feel loved, often at the expense of their own needs and boundaries. The Avoider: This person avoids allowing emotional intimacy and may shield themselves from true connection for fear of being hurt.
